Saturday Night: The Gala Show 7:30pm(doors at 7pm)

Shakra workshop Friday 4:00-6pm Exploring the Anatomy of Power Join Shakra for an extensive dissection of high impact movement and discover empowerment through power moves. Power in dance can be slow or it can be fast. It can come from quick action or dramatic pause. Our bodies come in all shapes and sizes but we are all capable of such power, regardless of our body type. Power is a state of mind, not body, and Shakra will guide you through exercises that focus on how we visualize our power while slowly building from slow dramatic movement to quick powerful movements. This workshop will help you feel your internal connection to your personal power and how it helps animate your body for all kinds of dance ranging from belly dance to full body dances such as African. This workshop will also observe ways we lose connection with that power, both mentally and physically. Be prepared with an open mind and a willing body. Come harness your personal power with Shakra.
